Pelosi & Co telling the truth? Pot calling the kettle…
In recent days it has become more evident that acrimony abounds between the left and right political circles. There has been accusations that conservative radio has called Obama et al Nazis and then charges of “astroturfing” (ginned up, fake grassroots movement) with swastika bearing mobsters are aimed at the right. What’s really going on? Is there support for these positions? Does a radio host have more power than elected officials? Are we getting the truth from anywhere?

Last time I checked Limbaugh was a radio opinion guy and not an elected official. Pelosi on the other hand is Speaker of the House. 3rd in line to be President. A different expectation of behavior should be in play.

Really? Perhaps if the left actually listened to what the people say they would understand that this ”mob” mentality is not about the group mentality or being led around by the political nose but by people that want their constitutional freedoms for personal liberty left alone. Who is really orchestrating the opposition groundswell? Who is financing it; the right wing Soros? Where is the right version of ACORN? The conservative copy of the New Black Panther Party with night sticks at the polls. It’s not there because this is a different movement all together. But yet because there is for whatever reason no acknowledged understanding of this rising from those opposed there are accusations of behavior that those in power participate in on a daily basis. The hypocrisy is staggering.

I haven't posted for a few weeks due to a combo of a hectic personal life and so much going on in the world.
The crazies are really running the assylum now. Pushing nonsensical agendas that they can't pay for even with ALL of the rich folk's money. Even if the cause is good we can't throw monaye at it if there is no money. Or can we? The Fed says we can print more $$$. Sweet. Wait. The Fed isn't really a federal agency. What about CO2?
CO2 not so dangerous? Not linked to global warming? Then what is the fuss about?
It’s about power, control and money. It’s easier to turn a moving car than a stationary one. Our society tends to feel before thinking. Due diligence? Vetting a subject? Too time consuming. I’d rather feel about something than know the truth. Time to be done with that nonsense.
Regardless of the source, research information for yourself. Democrats, Republicans, Liberals or Conservatives, look for yourself before committing to a position. Stand for the truth. You won’t be popular with the cool kids but you will be better prepared for what gets tossed our direction.

Obama: Defender of the Office
Obama: Defender of the Office
Throughout history the office of the President of the United States of America has been honored and revered. I don’t know of any time in history when one person has done so much in such little time to lower the status of the country and the office as President Obama has done since his inauguration. But then again, why would he be proud of being President of anything that he feels so poorly about?
Disagree, dislike, dispute but don’t belittle our known history. Yes we have made mistakes but in FULL context the United States has been a world leader for good and freedom. President Obama seems to have developed amnesia or just has never known about what the US has done for the world. His I’m so sorry tour is embarrassing and at least unbecoming to his position as the President of the leading defender of the free world. Bowing to foreign dignitaries, inappropriate gifts et al don’t seem like much but the message all combined sends is enormous on the world stage. Some of the world hated us before but most usually respected us on some levels. I think those days are coming to an end. Doesn’t he have any decent advisors on his staff?
Educate yourself. Be proactive.

I still can’t get over how the West tends to ignore and dismiss the violent, proactive nature of the plans of the Islamic Jihadists. We do have issues going on that don’t include Islam but we can’t afford to allow the threats to slip from the radar. It’s more fun to be distracted with recreational pursuits but if we don’t focus and prepare to defend our country and way of life we won’t have the recreation to pursue.

AIG IV Bonuses Are Deferred Salary
AIG IV still more to the story
Looks like the AIG bonuses are not bonuses at all but deferred salary payments. Some years old. Why and how did we become so quick to demonize and be ready to lynch the assumed guilty?
Think back, look at the earlier links. The current admin set up these people who are perfectly innocent. Why? It has been proven that the admin knew the truth early on and allowed an exemption in the stim package and now ACORN busses are going to these individuals’ homes to protest. Protest what exactly?

Do you seriously want Barney Frank and Chris Dodd with the final say over your cardiac care? Ask yourself what these guys and their ilk have ever accomplished in the real world? Have they ever produced anything or been responsible for a real business in the private sector? Again, why do we want this group with decision making power regarding our care?

Here is a truly amazing issue. Obama ran on universal healthcare as a major plank in his platform. Universal: for everybody. It doesn’t matter that nobody can be refused medical care already he wants socialized medicine. This is same style that is bankrupt and giving poor service in several other countries. Ok newer bigger faster stronger medical care for everybody including illegal aliens (it’s in there).
The new twist is that Obama is now proposing that our Veterans who are wounded in our service may have the cost of their SERVICE medical care charged back to their private insurance. Huh? The very people that volunteered to serve the country and were wounded in that service now are accountable for their own medical care? Isn’t the deal that they take care of us and we take care of them? John Q Public at least gets workman’s Comp and Disability.

I have pondered this current manufactured event and it reminds me of an over blown Punch & Judy event without the puppeteers being hidden. My wife and I told our eldest when he was about 15 that he needed to quit being bad because he was no good at it. This whole debacle reminds me of the time when some fresh cookies went missing and my boys both swore up and down it wasn’t them even though there were crumbs on their shirts and chocolate on their faces. The AIG situation is a lot like that.
People are blowing this deal way out of proportion. Ok the money is huge but the nuts and bolts are exposed for all who care about accuracy to see for themselves. Let’s break it down. Let’s say that you are an insurance/financial wizard. AIG wants to get you into their talent pool. You are a free agent and you negotiate your package that includes a $1million bonus somewhere in the life of the contract. You sign up and everything is golden right?
Nope a couple of divisions within AIG are threatening to do a financial Hindenberg impersonation. No worries. You have a contract with the parent company. Just like Avis or Jiffy Lube or the Santa Barbara Police might have a contract with a part of AIG. AIG is legally bound to meet the terms for their side of the contracts.
The whiz bang stimulus/bailout package that came down the pipe included exemptions to scrutiny/oversight or any other hoo haw regarding these large bonuses. Basically these preexisting contracts get a pass and are allowed to remain in effect.
Now the authors of the package that accepts these contracts as is feign ignorance as to the existence of these contracts and express outrage at the greed and insensitivity the recipients have exhibited. What the….? These guys just put a deal together and did their part and now want what is rightfully theirs. This is bad why? It doesn’t matter how much the deals were for. These were exempted legal deals put together prior to the bail out and everybody that is in authority is acting mad with many load harumphs to prove their distaste for this unseemly behavior. The recipients did nothing wrong. Maybe the AIG guys writing the contracts did something wrong when they wrote the contracts but that is a business deal. They did nothing illegal.
Ok with all these exemptions and non illegalities, why all the hubbub? Why are the recipients being set up as bad guys?

I believe that there are practicing Muslims that do not interpret the Koran literally and are people of peace. What if you refuse to bend to this global influence? How do they treat those with whom they disagree? Do you remember the beheading of William Wallace at the end of Braveheart? That was very sad but almost romantic in a hero and martyrific sort of sense.
One nice chop and it’s all over. Right? Not with the current beheading crowd. The subject is bound hand and foot and sometimes hogtied with the hands and feet bound and connected with rope. A knee is placed in the victim’s back and the head is grabbed by the hair and pulled back. With a knife the head is then sawed off beginning at the front of the throat. Intro to Islam in today's world and the West
In talking about Islam these days I hear the argument that most Muslims are just good mild mannered people and that all of the angry terror stuff come from a minority of Muslims. Let’s just assume for the moment that this is accurate. Let’s say there are 1.2 billion Muslims on the planet and only 10% are angry and irrational. That leaves us with 120 million angry, suicide bomb approving radical Muslims. These Muslims have declared war on the West and specifically the US and Israel years ago:

D. No. On a totally logical, secular level this can’t fly. Many faiths declare to be THE TRUTH yet have a belief system that is totally foreign to and in some cases directly opposed to the others. What we no from this about different faiths is that 1. All may be false and 2. 2 opposed faiths that declare truth cannot be both true.
We have been lulled in our western culture to dismiss ideas that seem foreign or out of whack to us. We don’t pay attention to the sometimes not so quiet takeover throughout Europe.

We in the West have been lulled into a numb, ignorant existence without much recognition to a world/culture outside of our own. Islam was founded about 600 AD by Mohammed. The strife between the races goes back to Isaac and Ishmael some 4,000 years ago. Most of the attempts to get all parties to shake hands and make up in the middle east are laughable at best and exhibit gross ignorance re the hidden and not so hidden nuances of the strife in that region. The US is barely a toddler on the world scene and we assume that we know how to make everything better. Arrogant and ignorant.
